Pre/Post Natal Fitness Class

Every Grom has a Mom, and we want to support YOU in being active when you’re pregnant or postpartum. We strongly believe that taking care of yourself allows you to better help the ones you love. PUSH classes stemmed from our desire to help Moms stay strong and move with support. The name reflects not only the pushing phase of labor, but also the fact that people who are pregnant and postpartum are strong, and that they can - and should - push their bodies! These small group classes combine a mix of cardio, core and pelvic floor activation, strengthening and mobility work designed by a pre/postnatal physiotherapist to create a safe and supportive workout. Each class also has an education component to help answer your burning questions about all things pregnancy!

  • We have two options for PUSH classes

    - Mondays 11:30am-12:30pm

    - Friday 12:30pm-1:30pm

  • These classes are designed for anyone who is currently pregnant or in their first 2 years postpartum. For Postpartum mamas, you’re welcome to bring your babies to class if you are past 2 years postpartum but interested in participating, contact us to find out if it is a good fit for you!

  • Classes run in 4-week, monthly blocks, and cost is $100/block.

  • At this time, PUSH classes are not able to be covered through extended health benefits.

There are many benefits to staying active through pregnancy, including:

  • Reduced rates of back, hip, and pelvic pain

  • Decreased risk of gestational diabetes, pre-eclampsia, and incontinence during pregnancy; decreased risk of instrument-assisted and cesarean delivery

  • Helps with constipation

  • Lower rates of depression - not only does exercise itself reduce depression, but group fitness classes are a fantastic social support through pregnancy!

  • Fewer newborn complications

Postpartum, attending a fitness class can be a fantastic way to get yourself strong enough to return to the activities you love! Exercise postpartum has also been shown to help reduce risks of a variety of health conditions as well as reduce body pain after delivery.

If you are interested in trying out a class to see if it is a good fit for you, please contact us! If it is your first PUSH class, please fill out the online intake form and arrive 10 minutes early.
