Paediatric Clinical Counselling

Paediatric counselling supports children and teens as they navigate emotional, behavioural, and social challenges in a way that is age-appropriate, engaging, and supportive. Our approach is child-centred and creative, with a focus on building emotional regulation, coping skills, confidence, and resilience. Sessions are uniquely designed to feel safe and approachable, using interactive and strengths-based strategies that help children and teens better understand their emotions and develop practical tools they can apply to daily life.

Our clinicians recognize that much of a child’s growth happens outside the counselling space. For this reason, caregiver collaboration is an important part of the process. We work closely with families to identify practical supports and strategies that can be used at home and school, helping reinforce progress between sessions. This collaborative approach empowers caregivers and supports meaningful, lasting change across a child’s everyday environments.

We want to create a space in Squamish where kids feel safe to grow and develop within the community. Counselling can help with:

  • Promoting emotional expression and resilience

  • Enhancing social skills and coping mechanisms

  • Addressing developmental concerns

  • Supporting children through trauma and loss

  • Improving family dynamics and communication
