​Originally from London Ontario, Maddy moved to Ottawa to complete her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology (2013) as well as her Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (2017) at the University of Ottawa. French being her first language, Maddy strives to provide comfortable and thorough care in both official languages of Canada.
Through her undergraduate degree, Maddy pursued varsity rowing and competed at many provincial, national and international levels. Growing her understanding of the human body through coaching, personal training and educational workshops for the University of Ottawa has lead her to Vancouver, and then Squamish for new and exciting work opportunities to expand her knowledge.
Working both in the private practice community in pediatrics and adults as well as in critical care and burns in the public sector, Maddy believes in a holistic and full-bodied approach to physiotherapy. Discovering root causes of current injuries and adjusting lifestyle factors to ensure long term health is her main focus. Continuing education is one of Maddy’s biggest professional goals is to continue providing the highest quality of care possible.
Maddy strives to provide an open and educational environment for her patients and seeks to be creative in her approach to return patients to their previous level of function.
Maddy is excited to be the newest addition to the Groms team and is keen to provide care for all levels of function, age and ability both in the athletic and general population.
Maddy’s first love was swimming although now enjoys staying active with rock climbing, snowboarding, weightlifting, and hiking.
