Amie is a Registered Physiotherapist with a passion for helping children and families feel confident and empowered throughout their physiotherapy journey. With experience across paediatric physiotherapy, acute care, orthopaedics, critical care, and adaptive sport, she brings a thoughtful, well-rounded approach to every child she works with.

Before joining Groms Physio + Co, Amie worked with Kids Physio Group in North Vancouver, where she assessed and treated children with a wide range of concerns including torticollis, toe walking, Sever’s disease, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, injuries, and developmental and neurodevelopmental differences. She loves making physiotherapy fun and meaningful, using play-based treatment to help kids build strength, confidence, mobility, and the skills they need to participate in the activities that matter most to them.

Amie also brings extensive experience working with babies and young children outside of the clinic. During her years working as a nanny in Squamish, she supported infants and toddlers — including premature twins — through early development, tummy time, rolling, sensory play, obstacle courses, visual tracking, and other age-appropriate developmental activities. This experience helped shape her appreciation for meeting children where they are and working collaboratively with families to make therapy practical and achievable at home.

Alongside her paediatric experience, Amie currently works with Vancouver Coastal Health at Lions Gate Hospital in Critical Care. Her hospital experience has strengthened her clinical reasoning, communication, teamwork, and ability to navigate complex situations while keeping compassionate, patient-centred care at the forefront.

Originally trained in the UK at Cardiff University, Amie has worked across trauma and orthopaedics, surgery, critical care, and rehabilitation. She also holds a Level 4 Sports Massage Diploma, giving her additional knowledge of hands-on treatment, movement, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.

Outside of the clinic, Amie is very much at home in the Sea-to-Sky lifestyle. She has previously worked as an adaptive ski instructor with Whistler Adaptive Sports Program, supporting individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities on the mountain. Her background also includes ski racing, field hockey, massage therapy, and working within the Whistler and Squamish communities.

Amie believes the best physiotherapy happens when children feel safe, understood, and engaged. She values building strong relationships with both kids and their families and enjoys collaborating with physicians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, teachers, and other members of a child’s care team.

When she isn’t working, you’ll likely find Amie enjoying everything the Sea-to-Sky has to offer — skiing, biking, getting outside, and making the most of mountain life.
